Explanation:
The coupler bar
(green) has points B and D each having a straight part in their coupler curve. The
rockers (blue) have a dwell when point B or D respectively pass the straight
part. These dwells alternate, see the motion diagram of the xcoordinates. Point
K shows that other coupler points have not the property of a straight line.

Remarks:
The dimensions b and d can be calculated, using the equation of Euler/Savary,
such that the curvature of the coupler curve is exactly zero. This has been
done in the symmetry positions of the slidercrank mechanism. The results are
listed in the column “updated”
